I finally caved and went to the grocery store. I hate going to the store, but the drive thru runs were becoming all to frequent. The grocery store always means spending a fortune on food that you end up eating in 2 days, or end up throwing out because its gone bad. Drives me batty!
Thus why I shop at Aldi because it a heck of a lot cheaper the most grocery stores and I'm fine with "off-brand" or Aldi's brands. I rarely have a set list of items I buy every time I go to the store but their are a few. Eggs, cheese, Greek yogurt, and flour tortillas always seem to find their way to my kitchen. The eggs and cheese can always make an omelet with the peppers and onions from the freezer, also the flour tortillas have become a staple to make a quick and easy pizza with. It's getting colder so its time for the combination of coffee and yogurt for breakfast. I've been a kick of eating the Cantina bowls from Taco Bell sooo I'm going to attempt to recreate something similar with the black beans, guacamole and chips.
This trip to Aldi, for the majority of my groceries with a quick trip to Walmart for a handful of items, cost me roughly $50. That is way more that I intended to spend on items just for myself. However with the items I bought and with what is still in my freezer it should last me for quiet a while and hopefully put an end to the drive thru runs.
And I know I definitely didn't stick to my list but that dang icing gets me every time.
