I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Contrary to most people in my family i'm not much of an ice cream person. I rarely crave it, even being preggo, and I tend to stick to a few select flavors. So when I had to choose a flavor to describe myself I was at a bit of a loss. However when the idea, I mean flavor, came to mind I knew I'd chosen the right one, rocky road.
Rocky Road ice cream is made up a few select ingredients I feel represents life fairly well for most all of us. The nuts represent the rough patches and struggles we may face which can make us want to throw our hands up and say, "I give up!" But we know we can get through it just on bite, or crunch, at a time.
The marshmallowy fluff represents all of the good stuff in life. Everything that makes us smile, giggle, and enjoy every second of being here. These moments are also the ones that we tend to forget all too quickly especially when one of those "nuts" creeps in and we tend to unfortunately dwell on those more than all the good stuff.
Then we have the base for rocky road ice cream, the chocolate. When we throw in the "nuts" and "marshmellowiness" this is what makes up everyday life and makes us who we are. While some of us may have more good days than bad, or vice versa, we all face struggles and joys on this rocky road we call life.
