This past weekend Austin's Mom and Aunt put threw a baby shower for our baby boy due to arrive in February. The theme was Calvin and Hobbes (that may give you an indication of what lil man's name will be) and the tables were decorated with newspaper hats, chocolate covered pretzel "tiger tails", along with a "Let's Go Exploring" cake. Austin had never been to any type of shower before and had no idea what to expect. He wasn't thrilled with the idea of having to stand in front of everyone and open our gifts, but I think handled it well. There were probably more people there I didn't know than I did, however, my own Mom and Aunt, kids, my two best friends, a long time friend, and a former co-worker was able to make it so I was more than thrilled.
Regardless of who was there and who wasn't, who I knew or didn't know I am more than grateful for all the gifts we received. Even though I have 4 kiddos already I have absolutely no baby things left, thinking I'd never be here again. I had forgotten how tiny all the clothes, socks, and baby things are. We still have a few things we to get but if necessary we can at least get baby boy home and have a good amount of stuff; besides we have plenty of time. It seems like we do anyway...we still have to clean out, rearrange rooms, and organize baby things. All of our time will be up before we know it, after all, I am down to biweekly appointments!
Austin and I had a great time and are more than grateful and thankful for all the gifts we received and are still receiving.
I've also been trying to vlog a bit more and put up at least 2 videos a week. The weekend vlog is below and the link will get you to my YouTube channel. Hope you head over there and watch a vlog or two!
